Warner Bros. has released another eight screenshots from Batman: Arkham Origins. They give us a closer look at Batman's updated appearance as well as two of the major villains he's facing.

Black Mask and Deathstroke both make appearances in the screenshots. Deathstroke is going one-on-one with Batman while Black Mask is scheming with his henchmen. Both villains were confirmed in the previous batch of screenshots. The Penguin appeared in the previous shots as well but is nowhere to be seen here. Rumor has it that the Joker will play a role in the game as well.

Arkham Origins is a prequel to Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Players take on the role of a much greener Batman in his early attempts to clean up Gotham City. He'll encounter many of his long-time foes for the first time. One of the shots suggests that the game takes place at least partly during the holiday season.

Arkham Origins is in development at WB Games Montreal. The studio, founded solely to make DC Comics games, previously created the Wii U port of Arkham City. Origins is the first game in the series not headed up by Rocksteady Studios.
