One of the most highly talked about MMORPGs is the upcoming real-time combat, visually impressive, Blade and Soul...and the CEO of NCSoft, Kim Taek Jin, dropped a pretty big news bomb in a conference call, revealing that the game is in development for current generation consoles and currently on schedule for a 2011 release.

According to MMOSite
the console versions of Blade and Soul and Guild Wars 2 are currently undergoing smooth development, but this doesn't mean the company already has related selling plans. Mr. Kim confirmed that, Blade and Soul and Guild Wars 2 would be commercially served in the year 2011 and the former would start its closed beta in the first half of 2010.

Not only that, but Kim also let loose news that NCSoft is planning to develop across smartphones and other mobile devices as well. So is it possible we could be seeing Aion 2.0 on iPhones? Well, don’t discount it at the rate the company seems to be expanding into and onto other platforms.

Blade and Soul is scheduled to undergo closed beta testing later this year. If you want to get in on it make sure you have a really up-to-date PC or just wait for the home console version to arrive (which is probably the cheaper, safer bet).
