Gearbox Software has released the first campaign DLC for Borderlands 2. Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty will let players travel to the new area of Pirate Bay.
Pirate's Bay, despite what the name suggests, isn't much of a bay. Instead, it's a harsh desert. That doesn't prevent its residents from acting like they're pirates raiding the Spanish Main, though.
Players will travel to this inhospitable area in search of treasure. In the process, they'll face Anchormen, Sand Worms and other enemies. They'll also meet colorful new characters, including Shade and the titular Captain Scarlett.
Scarlett is one of four story-based DLC packs in development. Each will cost $9.99 to download. The $29.99 Season Pass will entitle you to all four as they're released. Gearbox intends to release all four add-ons by June 2013.
