Eat Sleep Play initially wanted to have three endings for their Twisted Metal reboot's single-player component. Calypso, Dollface and Preach are all shown in a new video narrated by designer David Jaffe. The video is quite lengthy, clocking in at just over 11 minutes of unused footage.
Depending on the difficulty level, the developer intended to shed more light on the Twisted Metal universe via several endings. A video post via his personal blog (opens in new tab) saw Jaffe explaining the reasoning behind why the alternate endings were canned.
While one of the unfinished original endings has already been showcased (opens in new tab) by Jaffe, he's released alternate versions, accompanied by an explanation throughout the footage from the developer.
Twisted Metal released exclusively for the PlayStation 3 in February but its worldwide launch was staggered. European regions received the game a few weeks later in March.
