Whip-cracking and witty, Catwoman is one of Batman's most beloved frienemies. She'll seduce you one second, then claw your face off the next. That's why she makes the perfect addition to Injustice: Gods Among Us, NetherRealm's upcoming DC Comics-infused fighter.

One of the latest videos making the rounds at Gamescom 2012 is the following number showing off the bodysuit-wearing criminal. One of the fastest characters we've seen so far, Catwoman darts around the screen unleashing havoc with her razor-sharp claws and lightning-fast whip. She doesn't have super powers, but that doesn't mean she can't kick butt with the best of them.

See what I'm talking about? She's absolutely vicious. More importantly, Catwoman adds another strong female character to the game's cast of iconic comic book heroes and villains. She'll be joining the likes of Harley Quinn, Batman, Superman, Cyborg, The Flash and more.

The game is being handled by NetherRealm who, after their latest (and stellar) Mortal Kombat game, have earned themselves plenty of good will in the fighting game community. That over-the-top action and brutal combat is evident in Injustice, so hopefully we've got another top-notch slugfest on our hands.

Catwoman and the rest of Injustice's “Gods” will be available sometime in 2013.
