Darkstalkers Resurrection, the upcoming remake of Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge and Darkstalkers 3, will feature a number of improvements over the original versions. The features should sound familiar to those of you who played other recent remakes of Capcom fighters.

While fighting games are generally inhospitable to newbies, Siliconera says that Resurrection will try its best to bring you up to speed. A tutorial mode lets you learn the basics. If you get your ass kicked, you can watch the replay over and over to figure out your mistakes. On the off-chance you win (let's face it, you're terrible), you can upload these replays to YouTube.

Resurrection also updates the games with new visual options. You can use a crisp filter to smooth out some of the pixelation. New camera views will let you play the game on a virtual arcade cabinet.

Online multiplayer is obviously included as well. Resurrection will support tournaments with custom rules for up to 8 players. While you're waiting to brawl, you can watch the action via spectator mode.

Many of these exact features were included in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition and Marvel vs. Capcom Origins. The developer of that game, Iron Galaxy Studios, is handling Resurrection as well.
