If you thought the Wii was going to launch with too few mature games in the pipeline, think again. Joining the likes of Bayonetta 2, ZombiU and Assassin's Creed 3 will be the brand new body-exploding beat e'm up game from Tecmo Koei, Fist of the North Star 2.

According to GamesThirst there are more screenshots and news on the way for the Wii U version of Fist of the North Star 2. The first game was poorly received by critics but found a nice little home among the niche audience of gamers who couldn't wait to play Ken in a current-gen iteration of one of the most popular animes of all time.

Tecmo Koei is going bigger and badder with the sequel, enabling additional characters to be played, more moves to execute and more bad guys to explode using the secret art of Hokuto Shinken. The new game adds Shu and Juza as playable characters in the story mode, bigger boss fights and brand new fatalities. It's going to be very interesting to see how the fatality system works with the Wii U.

Fist of the North Star 2 is scheduled to launch this December for the Xbox 360, PS3 and on launch day for the Wii U in Japan. Unfortunately, there's no way to tell if the game will make it Stateside, so keep an eye on your friendly neighborhood import e-tailers for Tecmo Koei's ultra-violent fighting game. And don't forget to scope out the new screenshots below.
