Finishing the game and getting the code out there for manufacturing purposes means that the game has gone gold. And Halo Wars has gone gold. With this startling news comes a few super high-resolution screenshots of the demo that will be available on Xbox Live.

Set 20 years before the Halo: Combat Evolved game, Halo Wars sets up gamers with the task of commanding UNSC forces in a battle for the planet Harvest. The game was designed exclusively for the Xbox 360’s control scheme and boasts some revolutionary steps forward in making RTS gameplay on a console both exciting and convenient. Although, it is lacking the voice-commands that Tom Clancy’s Endwar had…but I think you get my point.

In accordance with the “going gold” news, Microsoft has let loose a video documentary on both Xbox Live and the Official Xbox Website. If that’s not enough, starting in early February Xbox Live subscribers can get their hands on a Halo Wars demo.
