Namco Bandai released new screenshots for Kamen Rider: Battride War following the initial announcement trailer and reveal screenshots. The latest batch of screens showcase a few of the heroes in action, doing what they do best and unleashing some massive kickbutt'ism on the bad guys using their other-worldly powers.

Kamen Rider is another one of those popular brands based on the spandex-wearing superheroes from cheap Japanese production studios. There was a short-lived, live-action TV show starring Matt Mullins over here in North America but it obviously didn't break ground the way it did over in Japan. The show was basically just another version of Power Rangers but potentially more serious, I guess.

In Kamen Rider: Battride War players will take control of the popular heroes/villains of the show and battle it out in thousand-army battles, typical to most other recent Namco and Tecmo Koei games based on other popular brands.

Graphically the game doesn't look half bad and if you're into the whole spandex-wearing warrior hero duking it out against other spandex-wearing warrior heroes, then you'll probably have a real tickled fancy for the upcoming Kamen Rider game.

Kamen Rider: Battride War is set for release exclusively on the PlayStation 3 starting May 23rd, later this year. You can check out the new screenshots of the game below, courtesy of Gematsu.
