Back when the sequel to Marvel Ultimate Alliance was announced, it was called Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion. Activision, however, has decided to make a change.
The game will now be known simply as Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. The shortened title was revealed in the game's latest trailer at New York Comic Con. Activision confirmed to Evil Avatar that the "Fusion" subtitle was dropped.
"Fusion" didn't make a whole lot of sense, anyway. The game centers on the Marvel Comics' Civil War storyline with super heroes battling each other - a word suggesting combination or togetherness just doesn't fit.
