Primal Carnage Trailer Pits Trappers Against Raptors

Two new character classes get the spotlight in the new video trailer for the upcoming action-dinosaur game, Primal Carnage. Not to be confused with Midway's Primal Rage, Primal Carnage is a first or third-person action title with character classes, dino classes and lots of flesh tearing action to pass around.

The latest character class trailer from Lukewarm Media and Reverb Publishing focuses on the various skillsets that both the dinos and humans can utilize against each other in some deadly man versus beast Mortal, I mean mortal combat. Check it out in the trailer below.

As indicated in the video, the trapper uses nets and dual-wielding pistols to take down dinos of any size, where-as the raptor has to rely on its speed, agility and a bit of stealth to attack foes considering that it doesn't have a lot of HP. The run-and-tag melee from the raptor looks a bit ridiculous but the lunge and jump attacks look quite schmexy.

For the most part this game is like the Call of Duty of dinosaur-shooters. The pace is absolutely frantic and gamers who don't like all that methodical tactical stuff that slows down games like Battlefield, Operation 7 or Arma and instead prefer shooters running on full-meth-head speed like Unreal, Combat Arms or Bullet Run will get a real kick out of a game like Primal Carnage.

The game is still heavy in development but Lukewarm is planning on getting the game moving ahead to the beta stages as soon as possible. You can learn more about Primal Carnage or how to participate in the beta by visiting the Official Website.
