DC and Warner Bros. have officially confirmed that Robin will be playable in Batman: Arkham City, but it won’t be the pantsless, panty-wearing Dick Grayson, oh no…instead players will be able to hop into the boots of the staff-wielding Tim Drake.

The cool part is that Robin will be playable in the challenge mode in Batman: Arkham City but will only be accessible to those who pre-order the game for any platform from a participating Best Buy.

As stated in the official press release…
Robin will come complete with his own unique gadgets and special moves, and will be playable in all challenge maps in the game, as well as two additional challenge maps that are included with the pack – Black Mask Hideout and Freight Train Escape. The pack will also contain a bonus Red Robin character skin.

So it looks like the playable character count has gone up to three (i.e., Batman, Catwoman and Robin), making the newest sequel look more and more appealing by the news update.

If you can’t wait for the game and want to secure your right to play as the new Boy Wonder, feel free to fill in your pre-order over at the Official Website.
