Coffee Stain Studios is working on their sequel to their first-person shooter tower-defense game, Sanctum 2. The sequel features more action, more strategy, bigger bosses, more towers to put down and more enemies to tear the towers down. The new gameplay trailer looks pretty impressive.

Reverb Publishing announced earlier in the week that they would be showcasing Sanctum 2 and other games at this year's Pax East. Sanctum 2 puts players back in the role of guardian pulsating spheres from all manner of vicious attackers, ranging from melee based brutes to towering giants.

The trick to Sanctum was balancing out your skills in either FPS properties or strengthening your towers so that they can withstand punishment and deal equal amounts of justice on the creatures trying to lay waste to them.

Sanctum 2 is set for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. It's one of the many games that is utilizing the Unreal Engine 3, as it was revealed earlier this year when Reverb acquired a site-wide license of Epic's Unreal Engine design technology.
