Video game fans of Kate Walker and her adventures in the Syberia series created by Benoit Sokal, can get excited once again as Walker will be returning to the digital space in a brand new game set for release within the next few years for multiple platforms.

Anuman Interactive will be publishing the game under the Microids label and they recently signed on Sokal to pen the script for the game in 2013. One of the founders of Microids, Elliot Grassiano, will be in charge of production once the script gets underway, and gamers can expect the title to arrive sometime in 2014 or 2015 thereafter, or at least that's the launch window that Anuman is hinting at.

Anuman’s General Manager, Stéphane Longeard, commented in the press release about the game's production, saying...
“After two long years of waiting for the fans, with Benoit writing the script and Elliot joining our team, “Syberia” has truly entered its production phase. With its incredible feel and the sheer quality of the game, Syberia has carved out a special place for itself in gamers’ hearts. They are more than ever expecting the next instalment. Today, fans of the series and adventure games enthusiasts have at last been rewarded for the patience,”

The Syberia series has garnered quite a community of followers who have been awaiting a new game in the franchise and now one is coming. I'm interested in which platforms the game will be released on and if it'll make a next-gen debut given that the next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft will be here by 2014? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
