Vader's Apprentice Joins Soul Calibur IV Roster

I’m still not sure what the complaint is with having Yoda or Darth Vader in Soul Calibur IV. It doesn’t seem to meld with the tradition of the series to claim these characters don’t belong. Perhaps I missed the memo that allowed Link into the world of Calibur. What does suck is we won’t be having any Yoda vs Vader fights out of the box, although I still have money on these characters being DLC (or probably just getting unlocked via a paid for code) sometime down the line. Another Star Wars character has been revealed, and this time he’s available on both consoles.

The Secret Apprentice from the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will be unleashing his lightning fingers and dancing lightsabre maneuvers onto the world. Not the most mind blowing announcement, and I do kind of wish Namco Bandai had switched up where they were pulling resource material from. At this point I’m ready to call it: Soul Calibur: The Star Wars Battle.

Screens of the apprentice appear in the gallery below.
