Alan Tudyk Inadvertently Proves Transformers 3 Isn't Improving On Transformers 2

Back in June Michael Bay assured everyone that Transformers 3 would fix some of the problems of Transformers 2, and further promised that the debatably racist (but undeniably terrible) Autobot twins from the last movie would be “basically gone.” Shortly thereafter at least a dozen set photos popped up on the internet showing the Autobot twins on the Transformers 3 set.

Now we can officially dismiss everything else Bay had to say about the way he’s improving on Transformers 2 because new cast addition Alan Tudyk has just inadvertently debunked the rest of Bay’s claims. In that interview Bay also claimed John Turturro’s pretty silly character would be “basically gone” in the third movie, as part of his plan to keep the new movie from sucking as much as the last one. But in an interview with From Hollywood with Luv Tudyk explains his role in the new movie and says, “John Turturro’s character, who has been in the other two movies, Agent Simmons. I’m a fellow agent of his that is sort of his assistant and weapons expert, computer hacker, cyber sleuth.”

So if Alan Tudyk is playing Turturro’s assistant, doesn’t that mean Turturro’s Agent Simmons character still has to be in the movie? And even when Turturro isn't on screen, it sort of sounds like Tudyk's character will be there to do the same, dorky. lame things. Probably when he said these things which ruined his last movie would be “basically gone” what Bay actually meant was there might be slightly less of them but they’ll definitely still be there or he’ll hire some stand-in to do the same thing, in order to make sure the new Transformers movie is as bad as the last one. Poor Alan Tudyk.
