Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Back In Action In First Trailer For Sabotage

After a few years of making tepidly-received cop dramas like Harsh Times and Street Kings, director David Ayer turned a lot of heads last year with the release of End of Watch - a surprisingly powerful, small-scale LAPD story featuring powerful performances from stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena. One potentially dangerous side effect of that success, though, is raised expectations for the filmmaker's next work - and today, thanks to Yahoo! we are getting a first glimpse at what that feature will look like.

Based on a screenplay by Skip Woods, whose track record includes worrisome titles like X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and A Good Day To Die Hard, Sabotage follows the team members of a elite DEA task force. The group works like a family and as a result they have had a great deal of success together. Things start getting really dangerous, however, when the team takes out a drug cartel safe house and finds a large stash of cash. Each of the agents starts getting picked off one by one, and while it's initially believed that the hits are coming from the cartel, slowly they begin to believe that one member of the squad may be turning on the rest. Arnold Schwarzenegger leads the cast as John 'Breacher' Wharton, the leader of the DEA unit, and the strong supporting cast includes Sam Worthington, Mireille Enos, Joe Manganiello, Max Martini, Terrence Howard, Josh Holloway, Harold Perrineau and Olivia Williams.

If you're wondering why you may not have heard of this movie before, it's because during its development it changed titles numerous times. Originally called Ten, the project spent a short time being called Breacher (named after Schwarzenegger's character - and then eventually was changed back. When we last reported on the film back in October 2012 - when the movie was going into production - it was still titled Ten, so it's not quite clear when the project's name was changed to Sabotage.

There's still a good long wait before the action movie hits theaters, as Open Road Films won't be releasing it until April 11th, but that's not stopping Ayer from being super productive. Not wasting any time between projects, the director is currently filming his World War II tank flick Fury. That project, which is filming over in London, stars Brad Pitt, Logan Lerman, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Bernthal, Jason Isaacs and more and follows an American tank crew as they go on a mission in enemy territory at the end of the war. That movie won't be out until around this time next year, but you can get your first look at the cast below:
