Most actors get a significant career boost when they receive their first Oscar nomination, but the truth of the matter is that Bradley Cooper doesn't really need it. On top of the stellar performance he gave in Silver Linings Playbook, he is already one of the biggest A-listers in Hollywood, was named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive in 2011, has the second sequel in the massively successful Hangover franchise coming out later this year, and constantly has job offers pouring in. Like, for example, this one.
According to Deadline, Cooper is now attached to star in and produce the upcoming adaptation of the James Renner novel The Man From Primrose Lane. Recently acquired by Warner Bros., the project has Southland writer Chad Feehan attached to write the adaptation. The story is about a true-crime writer named David Neff who finds himself at the center of a "chain of serial murders" while checking out an incident involving the killing of a recluse known to people in the neighborhood as "the man with a thousand mittens." But as he digs further and further into the case he discovers a connection between himself and the crimes and "must look outside the parameters of what he believed to be true about time and space" in order to solve the mystery.
In addition to The Hangover Part III, which will be out in May, Cooper will also soon be seen reteaming with Silver Linings co-star Jennifer Lawrence for the period drama Serena (which doesn't have a precise release date at this time) and will appear alongside Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes in the Derek Cianfrance crime drama The Place Beyond The Pines in March.. He will also be reuniting with David O. Russell later this year to star work on the untitled Abscam movie formerly known as American Bullshit.
