Chris Pratt Has The Greatest Surprise For A Group Of Young Guardians Of The Galaxy Fans

Chris Pratt seems like a special person. Not just as an actor (though we’ve enjoyed most of his films). It’s the moments where he dresses up like Star-Lord to visit sick kids, or invites Marvel fans to the set of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 as part of his charity work that really stand out. Well, Pratt’s at it again, this time surprising kids at the Lake Stevens Boys & Girls Club with a special message from the set of The Milano, his Guardians space craft! Watch it now:

There’s nothing better than the surprised look on the faces of young fans when they get to see a celebrity they love in person. Well, on a screen… but you get the idea. The Lake Stevens Boys & Girls Club is based in Lake Stevens, Washington, and Chris Pratt says in the Omaze video that he spent a lot of time there as a kid, just trying to stay out of trouble. He says that the number of kids that are being helped by the organization has grown tremendously since he attended, and he wants to use his influence as a movie star to bring awareness to it, and help raise some funds.  He also wants to play games with some of the kids… which is why he had them build their own rocket ship, then surprised them with his own message from the Atlanta set of James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Organizers behind the campaign say that funds raised through this process will benefit the Lake Stevens Boys and Girls Club, and will be immediately put to use with the construction of a Teen Center. Viewers are encouraged to visit through May 10 and donate as little as $10 for the chance to visit the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, have lunch with Chris Pratt, and hang out for a day, all in support of a cause close to the actor’s heart.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Chris Pratt returns as Peter Quill, the leader of a rag-tag band of misfit heroes who recently ended the reign of Ronan and now are off on new adventures through the stars. James Gunn is back in the director’s chair, and Pratt will be joined by co-stars Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, and the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 blasts into theaters in May 5, 2017.
