Two years ago there was a rumor floated. A gossip site reported that Daniel Radcliffe, best known for being Harry Potter, was interested in playing alongside Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel in Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse. It was an interesting rumor because it would be radically different from anything we've seen from Radcliffe so far, but, sadly, the story was shut down when Rogen revealed that Radcliffe wasn't "willing to push things as far as they are].” Apparently, one of Radcliffe's Potter co-stars is, however.
According to THR, Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger in the J.K. Rowling series, is now in talks for a small cameo as herself in what is now being called The End of the World. The trade has also learned that Jason Segel and David Krumholtz will appear as themselves as well. In addition to Rogen and Baruchel, the movie is set to star James Franco, Aziz Ansari, Jonah Hill, Craig Robinson, and Danny McBride. The plot has the actors playing themselves and enjoying a party at Franco's house when the biblical apocalypse occurs. They then must find a way to survive in the post-apocalyptic world. Rogen and Goldberg, who wrote the script, will be making their directorial debut on the movie together. The feature was inspired by a short film made by Rogen and Baruchel which you can watch below.
Who else would you like to see show up in The Apocalypse from the Apatow universe? Personally, I'm waiting for Paul Rudd and Steve Carell to announce their involvement.
