First Hangover Part III Poster Spoofs Harry Potter, First Trailer Arrriving Thursday

Warner Bros. has seen some big franchises come to an end in the last few years. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 brought an end to the wizarding world in 2011, The Dark Knight Rises completed Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy in 2012, and this year Todd Phillips will be concluding his Wolf Pack series with The Hangover Part III. The difference between the upcoming one and the two others, however, is that it has the ability to gently mock the past.

The studio has revealed the first poster for the new comedy, and movie fans will recognize the design and tagline from the last Harry Potter movie. Check out the Hangover poster first:

And here's the Potter original:

Will Alan, Stu and Phil actually burn down Las Vegas? Is there actually a chance that the marketing department's next poster could actually be a parody of The Dark Knight Rises? I hope the answer to both is "Yes."

But there's also some big news coming out of the film's official Facebook page. The first trailer teaser for The Hangover Part III will be arriving online tomorrow, so be sure to come back to watch it when it launches.

The second sequel, scripted by Phillips and Craig Mazin, will be taking the Wolf Pack from Los Angeles, back to Las Vegas and down to Tijuana, and while we know very little about the plot we know that this time around there's no wedding and no bachelor party. In addition to Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha, Jamie Chung, Mike Tyson, Ken Jeong, Sasha Barrese, and Jeffrey Tambor, Heather Graham and Mike Epps are both set to reprise their roles from the first movie and John Goodman will be joining the franchise as a new antagonist.

The Hangover Part III will be in theaters May 24th, going head to head with Fast & Furious 6. To see more from the movie, head over to our Blend Film Database.
