So far, most of what we've heard from the soundtrack to Tom Hooper's adaptation of Les Miserables has been Fantine's emotional "I Dreamed a Dream," which gives us an earful of Anne Hathaway's vocal talent in what appears to be a very emotional performance of the song. The new U.K. international trailer gives us a few samples of some of the other songs, and allows us to hear from Russell Crowe, Eddie Redmayne, Hugh Jackman and Amanda Seyfried.

Like the recently released TV spot for Les Miserables, the U.K. trailer for the feature adaptation of the musical based on Victor Hugo's book begins with the sound of young Cosette humming "Castle in a Cloud," but the trailer moves on to other memorable songs from the musical…

This might be our biggest look yet at the movie, not only from the additional scenes included in the trailer, but from the music that's featured. In addition to Hathaway as Fantine, singing "I Dreamed a Dream," we also see Hugh Jackman (as Jean Valjean), Amanda Seyfried (as Cosette), Eddie Redmayne (as Marius), Russell Crowe (as Javert) and Samantha Barks (as Eponine) singing "One Day More." Because it's broken up into snippets throughout the second half of trailer, we don't really get the full effect of the song as it is in its entirety, but that's ok because it makes it more of a teaser and less of a full-on spoiler for the movie. The music shifts to "Do You Hear The People Sing" near the end and we get a better look at Sacha Baron Cohen as Thernardier and Helena Bonham Carter as Madame Thernardier. Nothing of them singing yet , but I'm really hoping these two will be well worth the wait.

Les Miserables arrives December 25. More information, photos and video can be found in our Blend Film Database.
