Nicolas Cage, Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes And Milla Jovovich In Talks For Expendables 3

The Expendables franchise is all about getting bigger and bigger with each installment. When the first film came out in 2010 he brought together amazing action stars like Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham and more, but they upped the ante in 2012 with Expendables 2, which also added Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, and Scott Adkins into the mix. So where do you go from there?

The answer is to add Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage and Milla Jovovich. According to Deadline, Lionsgate is now in active negotiations with all four stars to join the cast of The Expendables 3. While Chan, Snipes and Cage have all been rumored for possible roles in the film for months, this is actually the first time that we've heard about Jovovich's possible involvement. She would be the second actress to join the gang of killer mercenaries after Chinese actress Nan Yu starred in the second film. As we reported in late April, Stallone has hired Red Hill director Patrick Hughes to direct the project and Stallone is currently working on the script himself.

All four actors have plenty of action genre cred that should help the four new stars fit in quite well with the rest of the ensemble cast. The question that remains, however, is how the four characters will be used. I'd personally want to see Chan, Snipes and Jovovich join up with the good guys and then cast Cage as a ridiculously over-the-top bad guy with plans for world domination. But what do you think?
