The dumbing down of originality continues unabated as Fox has announced it is giving the go-ahead to a prequel to the Stve Martin snoozer, Cheaper By The Dozen.
Proof that the mighty dollar is Hollywood's barometer of quality, Adam Shankman (Director of the equally inane Martin vehicle, Bringing Down The House) will take up directing duties and Just Married scribe, Sam Harper will serve up a no doubt predictable and laugh-free script.
Shooting is slated to begin in July and the script will apparently see the family clash with a similarly large clan while on vacation. No word on how many of the original cast aside from Martin, will return.
