Steve Carell And Jim Carrey Make Some Magic In First Incredible Burt Wonderstone Trailer
Earlier this year I had the pleasure of visiting the set of the upcoming comedy The Incredible Burt Wonderstone with a small group of other journalists. While there we got to speak with the cast and crew behind the film as well as watch them shoot a few scenes. It will be a few more months before I can tell you more about what I saw or what the stars said, but today we have for your the first trailer.
Check out the preview below and see it in HD over on Apple.
Directed by Don Scardino, best known for his work on television series like 30 Rock, Royal Pains, Law and Order and 2 Broke Girls, the new comedy centers on an aging magician named Burt Wonderstone (Steve Carell) and his partner Anton Marvelton (Steve Buscemi). While their show used to be the hottest ticket in town, after many years the act has gone stale, the audiences have thinned, and the two stars have grown to hate each other. And what only makes matters worse is that a hip new street magician named Steve Gray (Jim Carrey) has become the biggest new sensation, driving Burt's name further into obscurity. In order to rescue his fading career, he works on retooling his performance and in doing so begins to rediscover his love of magic.
The impressive supporting cast includes Olivia Wilde, Alan Arkin, James Gandolfini, Gillian Jacobs, Brad Garrett and Jay Mohr and the script was developed by Horrible Bosses writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. Head over to our Blend Film Database to see more from the movie including the first posters and stills.
