Ever since he decided to adapt the landmark 70s play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf, Tyler Perry has been talking up the "dream cast" he planned to bring on board. After all, the guy just finished teaming up with Oprah to promote Precious-- he has no problem getting powerful and famous black actresses on his side.

Now, right before the premiere of his new movie Why Did I Get Married Too?, Perry is finally ready to announce some actual names. Black Voices is reporting that the expansive cast will include Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Jurnee Smollett, Kimberly Elise, Kerry Washington, Loretta Devine and Macy Gray. Jackson, of course, is in the Why Did I Get Married Too? cast, Kimberly Elise was part of Diary of a Mad Black Woman, and Mariah Carey was surprisingly good in Precious. The others represent apparently the only black actresses left in Hollywood who have yet to work for Perry.

It's still unclear exactly how Perry plans to adapt the unconventional play, which consists of a series of poems performed by nameless characters, but filming is set to begin in June.
