Weekend Box Office

For the third straight week in a row National Treasure has taken the top slot for the weekend. The only major release, kind of, was Closer. Opening in just shy of 500 theatres, the oscar baiting flick without the Mrs. Skywalker striptease bowed at the number six slot.

Next week Cage will have to take a back seat to the sequel war. Look for one of the two major flicks next week to swipe numero uno from the Bruckheimer Social Studies project. Wesley Snipes and his band of demographic taunting Vampire hunters will wage battle against Clooney’s Dozen. Will Ocean open like a massive title wave or will it’s general lack of interest make Twelve debut at Eleven? Then again just maybe the holy Trinity will spike Catherine Zeta Jones right through heart. One can only hope. Time will tell.

Next week also look for the limited release of The Life Aquatic, probably won’t make a dent in the list, but just letting you know. Anyways, enough yappin’....Here’s This Week’s Top Ten....
