There’s a hilarious quote in this trailer that says, “The last thing I ever expected to hear was ‘Let’s go see the 3D Werner Herzog’ movie...” but this certainly isn’t going to be 3D like you’re used to seeing it. In Cave of Forgotten Dreams, the veteran German director and a team of cave explorers take us inside an art-filled cavern unseen by the human eye for 20,000 years. It's pretty incredible stuff.
One of the crew exclaims, “It’s as if it was drawn yesterday,” as they view the perfectly preserved artwork wallpapering the rock. If you have no interest in art or the history of it, simply click away and leave the rest of us to enjoy an undiscovered wonder. Take a peek below, but beware, the sound is a little janky.
