When we got our first look at Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice last summer at San Diego Comic-Con, the costume appeared to be largely shades of just one color: bronze. Well, now new evidence has popped online suggesting that the outfit is actually quite a bit more colorful than we were originally led to believe:
This image is a screencap from a video released by Bleacher Report, which recently followed Los Angeles Clippers center and Batman fan DeAndre Jordan around as he visited an exhibit showing off some very cool stuff from Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. One part of the showcase included the costume that will be worn by Gal Gadot in the 2016 blockbuster, and as you can see it is much more than just bronze. With better lighting it becomes clear that the skirt is actually a dark shade of blue, and the top actually looks much more red than the first look image. For comparison purposes, you can see the original shot below:
Of course, this red and blue coloration is much more in line with the classic Wonder Woman costume from the comics (and should help calm those who complained that the first shot of Princess Diana made her look a bit too much like Xena). The battle skirt is still a change from the star-spangled blue underwear the character is usually wearing, but the revealed colors up top make it look much more comic book-like:
This isn't all we have for you, though! In addition to giving us a much better look at Wonder Woman's costume, the exhibit also literally put spotlights on the costumes that will be worn by Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel and Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Those screengrabs, as well as the full video from which they come, can be found on Page Two!
First up, here's the Superman costume - and while it may just be the way the light is shining on it, but it looks much brighter than the version that was previously featured in Man of Steel:
Here is what we know will be one of two Batman costume designs (the other being the armored suit he uses to fight Supes), and it looks pretty badass. This will be the first time since Adam West that a big screen Caped Crusader wore a grey costume, and it's a nice change of pace after the Tim Burton, Joel Shumacher, and Christopher Nolan years:
Finally, here's the video from which all of this cool stuff comes from:
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be in theaters on March 25, 2016.
