The DC Extended Universe hasn't exactly gotten off to the best of starts. After Man of Steel proved to be incredibly divisive among comic book movie fans, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice didn't exactly help things, receiving negative responses for its portrayal of its classic characters and its convoluted/nonsensical plot. Given that there are going to be at least nine more films from the franchise released over the next four years, now is a critical time for director/producer Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. to try and win back fans. This past weekend, they made an attempt to do so by providing us with an early sneak peek of 2017's Justice League.
Cinema Blend's own Sean O'Connell recently joined a group of other movie journalists flying to England to visit the set of Justice League, and while watching the film in production and talking with key filmmakers and stars, he learned a great number of interesting things about the upcoming blockbuster. What exactly did he learn? Well, that's exactly what we discuss in this new episode of Hero Blend.
Intensely curious about everything that was seen and learned on the Justice League set visit, I invited Sean O'Connell to join me for this week's show, and asked him a number of questions to get the inside scoop on what to expect from the Zack Snyder film. Without getting into specifics, there's definitely an indication that the filmmakers have learned some lessons from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it certainly has us much more interested in the movie's development. Enjoy the episode!
