Subscribe To First Look At Mission: Impossible 6 Features Tom Cruise And Ving Rhames Staring Intently Updates

Mission: Impossible 6 has been in production for a while, and while we've heard stories from the set, including Tom Cruise hitting a tree while filming, we haven't actually seen footage of the movie, yet. But as is becoming more common with people involved with films, Director Christopher McQuarrie finally shared a cast photo with the new team in M:I 6. You can check out Tom Cruise and the rest of the gang staring intently, below.

What's probably coolest about the Mission: Impossible 6 cast is that the movie is bringing back its leading lady for the first time ever. Rebecca Ferguson was a part of Mission: Impossible -- Rogue Nation, and she's back for M:I 6, opposite frequent collaborators Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg (who has been with the franchise since the third movie). That's a little bit different than previous movies in the franchise, which have seen a different leading lady every time. And as the picture above shows, Rebecca Ferguson looks pretty comfortable as a lead in Mission: Impossible 6.

Christopher McQuarrie posted this image as the movie was leaving New Zealand to head back to London, and it's the first good look that we've gotten of the cast from the movie itself. We've seen some beautiful set photos of mountains and more, and even one of Ving Rhames and Tom Cruise goofing around on the set. Regardless, seeing the cast back and in costume, complete with gear, is making it clear that M:I 6 is getting closer and closer to completion.

Plot details for M:I 6 have been kept pretty well under wraps, beyond the casting and location news. Shooting just wrapped in New Zealand, and Ferguson has formerly said the movie planned to shoot in Paris, too. The franchise is known for heading to pretty cool places, and both of those locales fit the bill nicely.

Unfortunately, it's going to be awhile before we catch Ethan Hunt and the gang back on the big screen in all of those intriguing locations. Mission: Impossible 6 isn't expected to hit the schedule until July 27, 2018. While you wait, be sure to check out what we know about the upcoming venture, and be sure to take a look at what is hitting theaters sooner with our full schedule.
