Robert Pattinson Reveals He Moisturizes Enough To Act In Another Twilight Movie

Robert Pattinson in Twilight Reunion

Robert Pattinson has made a lot of unique and intriguing acting choices since wrapping on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2. His resume is peppered with indie roles in Cosmoplis, The Lost City of Z, Good Time and Damsel, as well as a new sci-fi film High Life. Regardless, the actor still shows a willingness to talk about his Twilight roots, and at the Toronto International Film Festival, he gamely discussed how he feels his toilette routine would enable him to play the 100-year-old vampire Edward Cullen in the future again. He joked:

The amount of time I've spent moisturizing, I am ready to play 17 at a moment's notice. Ready!

Although Edward Cullen is supposed to be quite a bit older than some of the other characters in the franchise movies, he also was turned into a vampire at the age of 17, so he certainly needs to look young when stepping into that sort of role, although movie magic has shown the wonders of special effects de-aging actors lately. Plus, if you've seen Robert Pattinson in a movie lately, he's been a far cry from the clean-shaven and delightfully sparkly vampire he played in the Twilight movies. Because I can't pass up the chance to throw some newer Pattinson photos in your face, here's the actor in the recent Damsel.

Yes, that's a bold tooth. Now, here's the look he threw on for Good Time, a look which takes scruffy to a whole new level.

Robert Pattinson unrecognizable in Good Time

While Robert Pattinson did not tell Variety at TIFF that another Twilight franchise movie is in the works, he did reveal that he enjoys taking projects that are the opposite of whatever he did before. Since he has a sci-fi project coming up next, perhaps a rom-com or something of the fantasy order could be next? Hey, a girl can dream.

If you're the type of girl who still enjoys the years when life was Robsten was a thing and we could get away with calling Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart K-Stew and R-patz, Robert Pattinson isn't judging. He also revealed that he spends a lot of time picking out projects, including High Life, and that no one should feel guilty about loving what they love. Per Pattinson:

Whenever anyone says [Twilight]'s their guilty pleasure, it's like, you say guilty, what you really mean is just pleasure.

So, go ahead and dust off those DVD copies and take a look at the saga which ends with Mackenzie Foy's Renesmee, who by the way is very nearly an adult now. If you need any indication of how quickly time passes, even for those of us who have played vampires, you can catch the teenaged Mackenzie Foy in The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, out later this year.
