Subscribe To New Images And Synopses From American Film Market Updates
The American Film Market, currently going on in Los Angeles, is where a lot of indie movies have the opportunity to pitch themselves to potential buyers, trotting out whatever materials they've got to make their movie look like the next big thing. But when you hear "indie," don't assume it's all no-name actors acting on crappy digital video-- the movies up for sale this year include the likes of Ben Stiller, Mark Wahlberg, Ryan Gosling, Kirsten Dunst, George Clooney and Channing Tatum, with Mike Leigh, Sofia Coppola, Robert Redford and plenty more behind the camera.

Collider visited AFM and came away with stills and synopses for lots of these projects, many of which are still in production. You can see the first batch here and the second batch here, and below are a few of the most interesting shots, along with the synopses. Look out in the next few days as a lot of these films get picked up.

As a companion, he takes his slave Esca (Jamie Bell), a Celt whose life he saved in a gladiatorial contest but who hates all things Roman. Their journey together into the wild north...
