Second Cowboys & Aliens Trailer Has Landed

Just like with the Rise of the Apes trailer from yesterday, we got a bit of forewarning about this one. Earlier this week a press release was sent out announcing that a new trailer for Jon Favreau's western/sci-fi mashup Cowboys & Aliens would be airing during American Idol. Well, the show is 13 minutes in on the East Coast, and the trailer has gone live over on Apple.

In the film, Daniel Craig stars as Jake Lonergan, a man who wakes up in the middle of the desert with no memory of who he is, but with a strange metal gauntlet around his wrist. Wandering into town, he is quickly arrested as an outlaw, but as he is about to be brought to court, the small town experiences a full-blown alien invasion. The film also stars Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde, Paul Dano, Sam Rockwell, Clancy Brown, Walton Goggins and a whole bunch more.

Check out the trailer below or in HD over on Apple.

Now that's how you cut a fucking trailer! Although it makes me remember just how much I miss the James Bond franchise, it's great to see that Daniel Craig gets to kick a whole lotta ass in this movie. I also really like that there's more light shown on Olivia Wilde's character this time around, showing that perhaps she has experienced this kind of invasion before.

Cowboys & Aliens doesn't hit theaters until July 29th, but until then be sure to head over to our Blend Film Database for images, trailers and a whole lot more.
