The incredible crooner is set to pull a double whammy on the season finale of SNL as both the episode’s host and musical guest (one man to do two jobs does not sound particularly jam-packed to me). Although this will be Jagger’s first stint as a host on the show, the man has appeared two other times as a musical guest and has been involved with the sketch-aspect in the past. Most memorably, he did that bit where Jimmy Fallon, playing Jagger, mocked the musician from the opposite side of the mirror. 
Saturday Night Live always goes through fits and starts, and the quality of an episode sometimes, or more often than not, can hinge on the quality of the host. Obviously, the better the host, the better the show, right? While not always the case, for the most part that logic seems to hold true, which is why this upcoming season seems so promising...and only more so now with today's guest host hire. 
Continuing the "everything old is new again" philosophy Hollywood has embraced of late, not only will NBC be reviving Fear Factor...they'll be bringing Joe Rogan back to host as well. I guess my snarky comment about Rogan waiting for the phone to ring proved to be accurate after all... 
Ah, award show hosting...it never really seems to work out the way everyone wants, does it? Unless your name is Billy Crystal (or, more recently, Neil Patrick Harris), it's usually kind of a let-down and sparks endless whining on the interwebs about the poor job they did (not) glorifying the already overly glorified. 
Weird or What doesn't sound like its necessarily treading fresh ground, but with modern technology it could unearth new clues or possibly even solve some of these unsolvable cases. More importantly, William Shatner is attached to host 
Last Comic Standing has had its share of problems, from bringing in professional comedians, to issues with the judges, the voting and poor hosting, but at least one of those appears solved, as they've tapped Craig Robinson to host 
CBS is safe for one more year, as Jeff Probst has agreed to host the next two cycles of their successful Survivor franchise. But this is the first time he's only extended it by one year, which means he really may be getting close to throwing in the towel. The series, however, remains one of CBS's strongest performers |
