Unpredictable. That's the word we're using to describe ReelBlend Episode 41. Thought all of the guys would hate Venom? Nope, one of us actually liked it. Thought all of the guys would adore Bad Times At The El Royale? Psyche... one of us left it disappointed. Find out who, and why, by listening to the show.
Before we even dove into this week's reviews, there was huge news breaking across the Interwebs. James Gunn, the previous guardian of the Guardians of the Galaxy over at Marvel Studios, reportedly has jumped ship. There have been reports that Gunn is going to write, and potentially direct, Suicide Squad 2 for Warner Bros and DC, and the ReelBlend guys had a ton to say about that development.
Does this make us more excited for Suicide Squad 2? Will Gunn basically make a Guardians, but for DC? Which cast members from the first movie will follow along, and what part will Dave Bautista play? All is addressed in this week's show.
We also had to talk about Venom crushing at the box office. The superhero movie broke a box office record for October, making Venom 2 a practical guarantee.
But the movie that the guys really wanted to dive into this week was Drew Goddard's Bad Times at the El Royale. And as mentioned above, two of us loved like -- like, 'Will be on our Top 10 lists' loved. And one of us left disappointed. Battles ensue.
