Jon Bon Jovi's Daughter Arrested After Heroin Overdose

Emergency responders rushed to a Hamilton College dorm room early this morning in Kirkland, New York after they received a call about an unresponsive female. Upon arrival, they discovered the unresponsive female was the daughter of rock star Jon Bon Jovi. Nineteen-year-old Stephanie R Bongiovi was quickly transported to the hospital and charged with a few drug-related offenses including possession of a controlled substance. She’s expected to be out of the hospital by the end of the day.

According to WKTV, the other student inside the dorm room, twenty-one-year-old Ian S Grant, was also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Hours later, authorities were able to get a search warrant to check out another residence related to the investigation, and while there, more heroin, marijuana and drug-related paraphernalia were discovered. It’s unclear whether any of these finds will alter the charges currently standing against Grant and Bongiovi, but we should know in the next few days.

Marijuana-related offenses aren’t particularly shocking or dangerous among college kids, but heroin is a separate beast entirely. That’s the type of drug that ruins lives, and this is a good indication of that. Hopefully, both Grant and Bongiovi aren’t in so deep with the drug right now that it’ll be difficult for them to extricate themselves from its grip.

The Bon Jovi family hasn’t released a statement about this morning’s upsetting events yet, but one would imagine the first concern is, of course, with their daughter’s health. We’ll keep you updated.
