Scarlett Johansson is officially flying solo. The actress and her husband of two years Romain Dauriac have called it quits, and apparently they split up quite some time ago!
A few rumors began circulating after Scarlett Johansson appeared to give a speech at the Women's March on Washington over the weekend without her wedding ring on, and a source later confirmed to PEOPLE that she and her husband have separated. And this split isn't recent either --- the source confirmed that ScarJo and Romain Dauriac actually separated about six months ago over the summer of 2016.
But don't think that just because they split up, Scarlett Johansson and her French husband Romain Dauriac will stop getting along. On Wednesday night, the separated couple had a night on the town, attending an art exhibition in New York City and happily posing for photos together, PEOPLE reported. It's pretty clear that their split was very amicable --- I mean, nobody even knew it happened until half a year later!
The separated couple will also continue to remain close moving forward for the sake of their daughter and their business. Scarlett Johansson gave birth to her daughter Rose Dorothy Dauriac in 2014, the year she and Romain Dauriac married. And Johansson and Dauriac recently went into business together to launch their popcorn brand Yummy Pop.
Scarlett Johansson and Romain Dauriac first began dating towards the end of 2012, shortly after Johansson had split from a year-and-a-half relationship with advertising exec Nate Naylor. Dauriac is also in the advertising business, running his own independent agency. A year later, the two got engaged, and then in September of 2014, it was confirmed that Johansson had given birth to her first child, Rose Dorothy Dauriac, A month later, the couple married in a secret ceremony in Montana. This was Johansson's second marriage; her first was to Ryan Reynolds, whom she was married to from 2008 to 2011.
And Scarlett Johansson has more than enough work to keep her busy through the separation. This year, she is starring in the big screen adaptation of the popular manga series Ghost in the Shell, and she'll be trading jokes with Kate McKinnon, Demi Moore, and Zoe Kravitz in the raunchy comedy Rock That Body. Oh, and not to mention that she's reprising her role as Black Widow in the highly-anticipated Avengers: Infinity War film, which is slated to come out in 2018.
In the end, breakups are always tough, and undoubtedly more challenging when there's a child involved, but It looks like ScarJo and Dauriac are going to keep things civil as friendly exes. We wish them all the best.
