Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Back Home After Heart Surgery

Arnold Schwarzenegger Terminator Gensys

Arnold Schwarzenegger is back! A little over a week ago, the actor/former Governator underwent emergency heart surgery, worrying fans everywhere. Thankfully, however, the 70-year-old bodybuilder was considered in stable condition shortly after the news went public. Now, he's finally back home. Schwarzenegger is also said to be in "fantastic spirits," despite the scary ordeal, and he's returning back to his old self. It's good to have Arnold back.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's health update comes from Daniel Ketchell, a spokesperson for the public figure. Here's what he wrote on his Twitter account.

When pressed for another statement, particularly relating to Arnold Schwarzenegger's condition back at home, here's what Daniel Ketchell wrote.

So there you have it! Arnold Schwarzenegger is settling back into his original groove, though he's still recovering. As it was originally reported, the actor had complications after his experimental catheter valve replacement procedure. The doctors were prepared if this happened, however, and after an intensive surgery process, Arnold Schwarzenegger was considered in stable condition. Can you guess what his first words were when he returned? You guessed it: "I'm back." Thankfully, even during his most serious situations, The Terminator superstar can still sneak in a good, classic reference.

In addition to Daniel Ketchell's social media statements, Arnold Schwarzenegger said the following statement shortly after he regained consciousness.

It's true: I'm back! I went to sleep expecting to wake up with a small incision and woke up with a big one - but guess what? I woke up, and that's something to be thankful for. Thank you to the doctors & nurses. And I'm truly filled with gratitude for all of the kind messages.

This recent emergency heart surgery wasn't Arnold Schwarzenegger's first, though it was the first time it wasn't voluntary. In 1997, Schwarzenegger, then 47, had a procedure to have a congenitally defective aortic valve replaced. He chose to undergo that operation, believing it was best for his health. It wasn't considered medically needed, but he decided to pursue it anyway. The actor considered it "the hardest decision" he ever made at that time.

While Arnold Schwarzenegger is still in recovery mode right now, the actor is keeping himself busy. He' set to appear in another Terminator film, and it'll reunite the actor with Linda Hamilton, a.k.a. the original Sarah Conner. It was only a couple days ago when the release date was pushed back to November 22nd, 2019 from its original July 26th date. It will be the first _Terminato_r movie since the original that won't be released in the summer. Production on the blockbuster is expected to begin in June and continue through October. It's unclear if Schwarzenegger's recent health scare played a part in the release date shift. It'll be directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool). It also stars Mackenzie Davis.

It's wonderful to see Arnold Schwarzenegger back again. And we know that this isn't going to be the last time we hear from here either. Until next time.
