LL Cool J Reportedly Breaks Burglar's Jaw

A man broke into LL Cool J’s house early this morning, but the attempted burglary did not go well. In fact, it was a disaster for the unidentified stranger. He’s currently in the hospital recovering from a savage beating, while the NCIS: Los Angeles star is cooperating with police to explain what exactly happened.

Apparently, LL Cool J and his family were at their Los Angeles home when the actor heard some noise coming from downstairs. He went to check it out and allegedly saw the suspect unarmed. Rather than wait for the police to arrive, LL took matters into his own hands and reportedly beat the living hell out of the guy, breaking his nose and jaw.

According to TMZ, LL’s rep released a statement saying his client is committed to keeping his family safe, which, under the circumstances, sounds like the understatement of the year. Little is known about the man he took down, but law enforcement sources have reportedly described him as a transient with possible mental issues.

It’s highly unlikely the alleged burglar knew whose house he was walking into. There’s no way someone would willingly choose LL Cool J when the majority of his neighbors are probably white collar executives and surgeons. At this point, it’s unclear if the guy has offered any motive beyond random burglary, but we’ll keep you updated as the facts of the case become more clear.
