Joey Kovar's Brother Doesn't Think Drugs Were Involved

Joey Kovar’s brother, David, isn’t rushing to judgment about what may have killed the former Real World star. The twenty-nine-year-old’s body was reportedly discovered this morning by a female friend. Initial reports said he was bleeding from both the nose and ears, and given Kovar’s long history of drug abuse, many jumped to the inclusion that his death was the result of an overdose.

In fact, TMZ said the victim’s family members even suspected drugs were in play. Now it would seem either that information was faulty, Kovar’s brother is lying or the deceased’s family isn’t on the same page. Here’s what David told The Chicago Tribune

"Everything was going very well. The very, very last thing that our family is suspecting is drugs."

I have no idea what could have possibly killed the twenty-nine-year-old if drugs weren’t a factor considering the police already ruled out foul play, but there will definitely be an autopsy performed. The toxicology report will likely take a full six or eight weeks, but when it comes back, we’ll know exactly what was in the aspiring actor’s body.

Obviously, the family would like to think Kovar didn’t slide back into his old ways. Regardless of what happened, however, the final result isn’t going to change. A father to a three-year-old and a two-year-old is gone before his thirtieth birthday. Our thoughts go out to his entire family, his children and all those touched by his life.
