Lil Scrappy Is Going To Rehab To Fight Off A Weed Addiction

There are a lot of cons to being on probation, but for Lil Scrappy, the worst is apparently having to take regular drug tests. The rapper was in court this morning after he got hauled in for failing a court-ordered drug test, but if his lawyer is to be believed, it’s not his fault. He has an addiction.

Bob Saget might not buy that claim, but Lil Scrappy is apparently ready to go to rehab to prove it. According to TMZ, plans have been made for the musician to seek treatment for his addiction inside a facility before his next court date. Assumedly, a judge will look positively on that proactive response and may even let him escape further punishment provided his drug testing samples come back clean until the end of his probation.

In the grand scheme of things to be addicted to, a man could make far worse choices than marijuana. That being said, since the state of Georgia currently requires Scrappy to stay drug free, there’s really no reason why he shouldn’t abide by the order. After all, while many musicians smoke a little pot at least now and again, there’s nothing about the drug that they actually need, at least provided they’re not battling cancer.

We’ll keep you updated as Lil Scrappy heads to rehab. Here’s to hoping the experience will be a once and done kinda thing for the rising star. After all, he has far better things to do with his time than continually deal with an issue like this.
