Sylvester Stallone and Sasha Czack are scratching their heads and looking for answers after their son, Sage Moonblood Stallone, was found dead in his apartment this afternoon. The case has already been referred to the Los Angeles coroner, but a bottle of pills reportedly found at the scene has led many to speculate the death could have been the result of an overdose.
The thirty-six-year-old first popped onto the public’s radar as a little kid when he played the son of Rocky Balboa in Rocky V. Several acting roles followed, and he eventually got into directing and producing short films. His attorney released a statement to The New York Post saying his client had been working on several projects, was in good spirits and planning to marry.
Sylvester is yet to release a statement on his son’s passing, but sources close to the actor told TMZ he’s been a “wreck” since he found out a few hours ago.
We likely won’t know what happened until a few months from now, but regardless of what did, Sage’s loss is devastating. At thirty-six, he had so many more moments to live and so much left to accomplish. Those closest to him who have commented have all used the word loving to describe his personality, and he clearly had a close bond with many who are now grieving.
Pop Blend sends out its thoughts to Stallone’s friends and family as they say goodbye to someone they deeply cared about.
