Shaun White Accused Of Drunkenly Destroying Hotel Property, Pulling Fire Alarm

Shaun White might be relaxed and affable during most of his post-snowboarding interviews, but apparently, the Olympic gold medalist was anything but over the weekend. The Flying Tomato was arrested early Sunday morning outside a Nashville hotel for causing all kinds of mischief, and he now has two misdemeanor charges hanging over this head.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police told E! News the trouble began a little before 2 A.M. when a visibly intoxicated White allegedly pulled a fire alarm at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. As guests were making their way down to the ground floor, the snowboarder allegedly destroyed a hotel phone and then tried to leave in a cab. After a concerned citizen told the taxi driver to stay put, White allegedly kicked the unfortunate citizen, took off on foot and quickly got chased down by the increasingly pissed off citizen. The two men reportedly collided pretty hard, and White wound up falling into a fence. You can take a look at the evidence in his mug shot after he was taken to the station…

White was later charged with misdemeanor vandalism and public intoxication. Neither he nor his representative has spoken publically about what happened, but given how widely reported what happened has already been, a statement will likely need to be released in the near future. We’ll bring it to you when it goes to the press.

Until then, watch out for any out of control Tomatoes in your area.
