Watch These Dudes Offer People Strange And Outlandish Compliments

Getting a compliment is one of life’s little joys. Unfortunately, people tend to hear the same ones over and over again. So, the fine dudes over at AwesomenessTV decided to change things up by sending some twenty-somethings out into the world with instructions to compliment strangers in the most bizarre ways possible.

I really like the girl who receives the you’re-everything-I-never-knew-I-wanted compliment and has a discussion with her friend to verify that confusing phrase was actually a positive. It is, though I’m not sure she would have rather heard that one than some of the other girls who got praise on everything from knee caps to hair buns to Harry Potter scarves.

The majority of pranks have at least some element of douchebaggery or trickery to them. This prank is more theater of the absurd than anything else. There’s no a-ha or gotcha moment, but thanks to the over-the-top reactions, it’s just as entertaining to watch as a viewer.

And for the record: it’s always easier to pick up a woman with a bizarre compliment than a standard one. Walking up to a girl in a bar and telling her she has a really nice chin or cute ears is way more likely to start a conversation than telling her she’s pretty hot, at least provided the dude doesn’t look like a creepster.
