Watch Mariah Carey, Jimmy Fallon And The Roots Perform All I Want For Christmas Is You

Plenty of pop stars put out Christmas albums, but it's not quite as often that an original holiday-themed pop song manages to maintain staying power beyond the first year or two of its release. Every once in a while though, one of those songs becomes a hit and finds its way back on the air year after year, joining the likes of "It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," and "Jingle Bell Rock." Band Aid did it with "Do They Know It's Christmas" in 1984, the same year Wham! gave us "Last Christmas." And a decade later, Mariah Carey did it with "All I Want For Christmas is You." The 1994 Christmas pop song is still in holiday rotation, and this week, Carey performed it on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The video of the performance has since earned more than 1,500,000 views on YouTube.

Carey was joined by Jimmy Fallon, the Late Night house band The Roots and a group of adorable kids as they sang the popular song together. Check it out below.

Jimmy Fallon seems to be all about the yuletide cheer these days. Earlier today we shared the video featuring Fallon and fellow former SNL star Tracy Morgan as they read "Twas the Night Before Christmas." Or rather, Fallon read it and Tracy commented on it. You can watch that one here.

Assistant Managing Editor

Kelly put her life-long love of movies, TV and books to greater use when she joined CinemaBlend as a freelance TV news writer in 2006, and went on to serve as the site’s TV Editor before joining the staff full-time in 2011 and moving over to other roles at the site. At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way). She graduated from SUNY Cortland with BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Cinema Studies. When she isn't working, she's probably thinking about work, or reading (or listening to a book), and making sure her cats are living their absolute best feline lives.
