The New Girl Cast Crushed Halloween With These People V. O.J. Simpson Costumes

Halloween comes but once a year, and plenty of celebrities celebrated the occasion with some fabulously elaborate costumes. The cast of New Girl went above and beyond with their celebration of the spookiest day of the year. The five main actors each dressed up as a member of theThe People v. O.J. Simpson ensemble and ended up looking so on point that it practically seems like Fox is already working on a killer reboot. Check them out!
New Girl creator Liz Meriwether shared the pic on her Twitter account, and it's hard to say which of the actors' costumes was most accurate. Zoe Deschanel pulled off the Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark look pretty perfectly, and Lamorne Morris is totally rocking the glasses and pocket square for his take on Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran. Jake Johnson definitely deserves credit for getting some gray streaks to copy David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian, and Hannah Simone went all out in transforming herself into a man to channel her inner Kenneth Choi as Judge Lance Ito. Personally, however, I might have to give the top prize to Max Greenfield as Robert Shapiro/John Travolta. His costume is the least complicated, but he nailed the Travolta expression from a lot of his scenes in The People v. O.J. Simpson.
Luckily for those of us who are left wanting for more out of this The People v. O.J./New Girl photo, we'll get to see more of the cast in their costumes. The image is actually a picture from set for a scene from an upcoming Christmas episode, which is set to feature a classic New Girl flash to a scene from the group's Halloween shenanigans. We can't say at this point whether or not the episode will deliver much in the way of laughs with regard to the plot, but the visuals at least should be worth a chuckle. The actors of The People v. O.J. were generally spot on in their portrayals of the real life players in the O.J. Simpson case; we can bet that none of the New Girl characters will do quite as well in their impersonations.
New Girl has been on a brief hiatus, largely thanks to Fox airing the World Series during its usual time slot over the past couple of weeks. It returns to the airwaves on Tuesday, November 15 at 8:30 p.m. ET. Be sure to tune in to see what's next for Jess and Co. in the weeks leading up to the Christmas episode that will flash us back to the People v. O.J. Simpson-themed Halloween. If only we could count on an appearance from David S. Pumpkins as well.
