Game Of Thrones Recapped With Rhymes Is The Best Thing You'll See All Day

Game of Thrones is a phenomenally popular series, but even diehard fans may have a tough time keeping track of all the characters and everything they've done over the six seasons so far. Loyalties shift, characters die, characters come back to life, and it's not always easy to remember what happened when and where. Luckily, a fast-paced recap of Seasons 1 - 6 has hit the web to explain the series in five minutes, and it even rhymes. Check it out!

Kudos to those who managed to write the rhymes, compile the relevant clips, and tie it all together in only five minutes. Admittedly, the rhymes weren't all perfect, but I doubt that anyone who could have done that much better would have taken the time to do it. I count myself as a huge Game of Thrones fan, and even I forgot about a couple of the plot twists in this recap video. Besides, the video made up for any imperfect rhymes with some epic alliteration and wordplay about past plots. Looking back now, some of the earliest tragedies are almost cute. Sure, Ned's death and the Red Wedding are still plenty sad, but they seem practically tame compared to some of what we've had to watch from the likes of Joffrey and Ramsay Bolton.

Given that Game of Thrones has been off the air for nearly five months now, the recap video is a nice fix of Thrones action during the wait for more. We fans won't be getting the next season at the customary time in spring. Filming for Season 7 was pushed back to accommodate the fact that winter finally came to Westeros in the end of Season 6. The show will need bleaker landscapes for winter, and so the entire production of Season 7 was delayed.

The only timeframe we've been given for the Season 7 premiere is "Summer 2017," and we'll be getting fewer than the usual ten episodes when the show finally does come back. Those of us who are pretty bummed about the long hiatus and shorter season need all the whimsy we can get, and the rhyming recap does the trick. After all, those of us who have been keeping up with Game of Thrones spoilers are already anxious to see what's to come. Not much is known for sure, but enough has leaked about characters returning and reuniting and meeting that there's a lot to look forward to. We can start creating our own rhymes now.

Stay tuned to CinemaBlend for the latest Game of Thrones news, and be sure to check out our midseason TV premiere schedule to see what you can catch on the small screen to pass the time until Season 7 debuts on HBO. Feel free to watch the recap video a few extra times if you need to remember just what happened back in the earlier and more innocent days of Game of Thrones.
