Law and Order Logo NBC

Law & Order lasted a long time and welcomed many actors before they were famous. Thanks to reruns, the NBC series remains a go-to for crime procedural enthusiasts. Oddly enough, humans are not the only ones with a soft spot for the series. It turns out that there is a dog that sings along to the theme song!

Peter Schultz, who writes the Weekend Updates for the currently on-hiatus Saturday Night Live, tweeted an awesome video of his dog, Odafin, singing along to Law & Order’s theme song. According to Schultz, this is not just a one-time thing, either. His dog does it “every time he hears it.” Check out this precious pooch belting it out!

You have to admire this dog’s determination in singing Law & Order’s theme song. He is clearly into Law & Order, and his singing along to the theme solidifies that.

I just hope that no one has told Peter Schultz’s dog that the show ended a decade ago. After 20 seasons and a slew of cases solved, Law & Order ended in 2010. The good news is that the franchise has lived on, and by live, I mean an incredibly long time.

Back in February, Law & Order: SVU was renewed for three more seasons, bringing the show’s run to a minimum of 24 seasons. That continues a record-breaking streak that will send it past its predecessor by four seasons. That distance could increase depending on how things go.

The original series may have wrapped up a decade ago, but there are still quite a few shows you could stream if you love the Law & Order spinoff. Would Odafin, the dog who has gone viral singing the series’ theme song, get into those shows too?

Odafin does have his own Instagram page, which features videos and pictures of him living his best life. It notes on his page that he is a Law & Order fan and on Twitter, Peter Schultz mentioned that he and his girlfriend had named him before learning he was a big fan of the show. They also shared he likes Law & Order: SVU, which is fitting. Odafin shares a name with Ice-T's character from SVU!

Law & Order may no longer be “the mothership,” according to Timothée Chalamet, but the show is clearly a premiere destination for Odafin. He has over 450 episodes to sing along to, so hopefully, fans can look forward to many more performances

New episodes of Law & Order: SVU air Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on NBC. If you want to watch new television shows, check out this spring’s premieres.
