Lindsay Sloane’s comedic timing has come a long way since her days on Sabrina The Teenage Witch. After appearing in Horrible Bosses last summer, the comedic actress hopped back to TV, where she recently guest starred in an episode of Psych. Now, she’ll appear in the upcoming network comedy, Ben and Kate, playing the former flame of one of our leads.
It would really make things interesting if that flame were Kate; however, as it turns out Sloane’s character will be more interested in rekindling a relationship with Ben. On Fox’s upcoming Tuesday comedy, Sloane will play Louise, one of Ben’s ex-girlfriends. According to TV Line, after Ben shows up in town to help his sister, Kate, take care of her daughter, Louise will try to worm her way back into the man’s life.
There’s no word on whether Louise’s schemes will pan out for her or not, but since the role will be a short-lived one, I’m guessing her long-term plans will have a short shelf life. Still, it's great to get an inkling about the sort of plotlines the upcoming show plans to indulge in. Ben and Kate premieres Tuesday, September 25 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
However, if you are intrigued about the new series, Fox has plans to release a special preview episode on outlets including Hulu and Video on Demand starting on August 27.
